Position Title: CNC Machinist
Position Type: Full Time, Non-Exempt
Reports To: Production Manager

What youll contribute.
Produce custom components, such as store fixtures, office equipment, cabinets, or high-grade furniture
Daily operation of CNC, Panel Saw, and other production equipment as needed
Plans machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances
Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample workpieces; adhering to international standards
Selects and installs proper cutting tools
Loads programs in machine control unit or enters commands to retrieve machine instructions from database
Manipulates controls and enters commands to index cutting tool to specified set point and to start the machine
Observes and listens to machine operation to detect malfunctions such as worn or damaged cutting tools
Changes cutting tools and location of the workpiece during machining process as specified in instructions
Measures and inspects the first workpiece for conformance to specifications and quality standards
Adjusts machine feed and speed, and changes cutters to machine parts according to specifications when needed
What you bring to the table.
High School Diploma, or General Education Degree.
2+ Years of relevant experience in the millwork industry.
Good math skills to understand complex instructions, how schematics work and make sure items are designed and built correctly.
Understanding machinery, peak performance, how to increase output, and how to fix errors.
Keen attention to detail.
Understand CAD/CAM technology.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, walk, and stand for long periods of time.
Motivated, flexible, dependable, excellent problem-solving skills.
Must be able to work with little supervision; ability to work with tight deadlines.
Must be available to work overtime, as required; which includes some weekends and/or holidays.
Valid Drivers License; must be able to pass pre-employment drug and background screening
