Brookside Woodworking Blog

The author of this blog is Walt Stanley and he owns and operates Brookside Woodworking, a custom woodworking shop located in the Vermont countryside. In here he designs and builds furniture and cabinetry to the highest standards. He works alone but his wife, Michele, helps out when he needs it and she has a good eye for design. He is a member and past president of the Guild of Vermont Furnituremakers. He is entirely self taught, although he has, and still does occasionally, work in other shops. He has been a full time furnituremaker for 15 years and he also drives a school bus. He started doing this when he lost his last job driving trucks and kind of got attached to the kids. He is also a fanatical cyclist and he rides between 5,000 and 7,000 miles a year.
